AFTER COMPLETING THE FIRST SURVEYS OF
COPPER MOUNTAIN THE US FOREST SERVICE SAID... "If
there were a mountain that had terrain for skiing it would
be Copper Mountain. It is probably the most outstanding
potential ski area in the Arapahoe National Forest, and
Denver International Airport is 231 miles (5 hours min
in the winter) but Gunnison Crested Butte Airport is only
28 miles, that is just 20 minutes even in the winter.
Where else can you find 5
world class ski areas to ski in one vacation in the winter
and so many activities to do in the summer you could spend
a month and still not experience it all.
Considering that Denver International Airport is a 7
hour drive from this ski area you will want to think about
flying into Telluride Regional Airport - only seven miles
from the Towns of Telluride and Mountain Village
A long, long time ago...there was a storybook
town without highways and outlet stores. A resort free
of crowds and inflated egos—a real-life mountain town
of rugged charm, blue skies, and simple values—live and
play. Today, nothing's changed. Welcome to Telluride.
A land where people come to play.
Vail & Beaver Creek
Vail is a 3-4 hour drive from Denver International Airport.
If you plan on staying in Vail there is no need for a
car, everything is within walking distance. If you want
to try Beaver Creek there are local buses running all
day into the evening.
