Sixteen teams from around the world
compete in this eye-pleasing event, creating mammoth
works of art from 12-feet-tall, 20-ton blocks of snow.
The sculptors work during the week, reshaping the
bounty of Mother Nature into freeform whimsy or spellbinding
intricacy. Well-known artists act as judges for the
event, which has brought sculptors from as far away
as Morocco, Belize, Japan, Canada, Scandinavia, Russia,
China and Wales. |
